Hunsdiecker Reaction

This reaction is also known as Hunsdiecker–Borodin reaction or Borodin reaction in organic chemistry. Hunsdiecker reaction involved functional group interconversion of a carboxylic acid (benzoic acid) into  an alkyl halide, usually a bromide or iodide,   involving the loss of one carbon atom, which is  eliminated as CO2. chemical equation has shown above.
